Human masculinity (Characterized by Yang and considered inherently male) throughout history has never been truly comfortable in it's own skin.
Sex, in biology, is a process of combining and mixing genetic traits, often resulting in the specialization of organisms into a male or female variety. It is considered that sexual reproduction first appeared on earth about a billion years ago. Before then reproduction was singular. Some contend the organic life was only female before then. I contend that sex has never been solely about reproduction. In humans, the concept of sex has expanded exponentially. Some of its facets now include: pleasure, Self actualization, self expression, equity, creativity, brutality, power, control, and influence. The reality is that humans rarely have sex with the intent of procreation.
The purpose Erology.org is to gather, study, and disseminate what is known, theorized, proven, and practiced in the current culture to enlighten, inspire, and entertain; there by both pre- and re-defining male sexuality.
